This award is for the campaign that demonstrates innovation linked to success in the use of legacy fundraising.
The award goes to an organisation which this year took a radically different approach to fund-raising. The idea was to match supporters to their particular areas of interest. They were not just going to “join”: they were going to “join in”.
It was massively successful. Across the whole country, 30 events with 1350 paid-for places were organized. They sold out. Feedback indicated that 78 % of attendees pledged a legacy, 100 people offered to volunteer and non-legacy donations came to £15,000. The programme demonstrated seamless integration between central and regional colleagues as well as between staff and volunteers across the organisation in the whole process of campaign development and execution. Everyone, in fact, did join in.
