This award is for any fundraiser who, in the last two years, has shown aptitude, ability and achieved success beyond their experience.

Tonight our winner is someone who began her career in marketing. She joined the London Symphony Orchestra as head of development in January 2007. In a mere 12 months she has doubled private-sector income from £1.5m to over £3m, revitalised the fundraising infrastructure, ensured new three-year seven figure funding relationships with the LSO’s three principal partners, developed strategic links in key LSO international touring centres and implemented a unique corporate sponsorship package linked to business networking and hospitality at key international locations. Phew! What’s she going to achieve this year?

She is a vital force in the whole organisation and has brought in over £500,000 to support the orchestra’s education and community programme. So it is her aptitude, ability and success beyond what anyone could have expected from her previous experience that we are celebrating here tonight.
