This award is for any charity that provides an outstanding environment for the development of a career in fundraising.

This award recognises charities which are so inspiring in their working practices, ethos and respect for staff, volunteers, donors and those whom they serve, that they have been nominated voluntarily by their employees.

The winner is a major organisation whose staff think it is a “fantastic charity” to work for. Not least among their reasons is its commitment to sending fundraisers to experience projects for themselves. This makes an unparalleled impact on those fundraisers’ ability to communicate; it fills them with passion and excitement about their work.

Staff say that the training offered both internally and externally is second to none; enhancing skills and ability is always encouraged by managers. Salaries, too, are in the top quartile for the sector while other benefits are well above average.
